Dates: Friday, June 26 & Saturday, June 27, 2026 Day 1 Location: Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park, Macon, GA Day 2 Location: GEAR Lab, Museum of Aviation Foundation, Warner Robins, GA Who Can Attend: Everyone! Students, educators, coders, artists, designers, storytellers, paddlers, nature lovers, and community members are welcome. Cost: FREE https://www.ocmulgee.online Day 1 Theme: Grounding & Observation through community service, storytelling, participatory design workshops, and exploration of the Ocmulgee River Corridor. Day 2 Theme: Technology Building & Prototyping, where participants will design, and test environmental software and hardware solutions in the GEAR Lab. Mission: Collaborate with your community to create technology that supports clean water, environmental stewardship, rural health, and the future of Georgia's first National Park. Listening to the Land: An Ocmulgee Hackathon

Through hands-on activities, participants will observe the Ocmulgee River Corridor, work alongside mentors, and design real-world solutions using sensors, hardware, software, and creative problem-solving.

No prior coding or engineering experience is required. Whether you’re interested in AI, electronics, design, storytelling, or simply making a difference, this event offers an opportunity to collaborate with a diverse team and help shape technology that serves our communities.
